" Dogs are not our whole life but they make our lifes whole "
- Roger Caras -
Ehfi Kennel is situated about 15 minutes drive outside Norway's
third largest city, Trondheim. We live in a house with a large garden.
The woods are our closest neighbor, and we highly appreciate this.
Ehfi Kennel consists of Ingunn, Frode, our daughter Amanda Christine, who
was born 14th June 2009, our pugs, our amstaff and two cats.
We keep our dogs as equal members of our family.
Our favorite acitivities are skiing in the winter, hiking, jogging,
picking blueberries in the forrest (yes, the dogs actually pick
their own blueberries), enjoying a good sleep in front of the fireplace
or just hanging out in the couch watching tv.
It is now illegal to breed/sell Amstaffs here in Norway.
Our beloved amstaffs will of course continue to live with us for the rest of
their lifes. They are an important part of our family, helping us with
socializing the little pug puppies towards bigger dogs and so forth.
Both Frode and myself have always been facinated and
intrigued by the Pug. We both loved the Pug's attitude
and their looks, but at the same time we wanted a dog that would
be a bit more atlethic and had higher workability & endurance.
Well, this was all thoughts we we had before we got our first
pug home. The pugs are surprisingly active and agile.
(And some, *hint Rumba* can almost be too active believe it or not hehe).
This was the beginning of something new for us.
We fell head over heals in love with this funny little clown,
always there to make us laugh. Safe to say that we are both
now absolutely bitten by the pugbug!!
We had our first Pug litter April 2005.
We wish to thank Penny, Glomar Pugs and Heidi, Pugbully Knls
from the bottom of our hearts for sharing your lines and your
knowledge with us. We are for ever grateful for this!
Also, many thanks to our friends within and outside
the breed for all your input and support! What would
dog shows and breedings be without people like you:-)

About the kennel name
We started the process of applying for a kennel
name late 2003 before our first litter was born.
Getting a kennel name approved by both the FCI and
the Norwegian Kennel Club was a time consuming
buisiness. After going through a long list of alternatives
we got final approval for the name 'EHFI'.
Ehfi is a combination of our initials.

In October 2004 our kennel name was officially recognized by the FCI.
